Our staff & volunteers
Jeff Kennedy is retired from the United States Army and currently works at the Human Resource Command at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Jeff has taught school in Florida and Kentucky for Miami-Dade Public School System, Hardin County School System, Counsellor for Jefferson County Public School System, Workforce Solution Trainer for Elizabethtown Community Technical College, Business Instructor for Sullivan University and Spencerian College.

Jeff has earned six college degrees and Graduate certificate: Associate Degree in General Studies, associate in applied management, bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with a concentration in Management, Master of Arts in Organizational Management and Master of Science in Conflict Management, Graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution and his third master’s degree in human resource leadership.
Jeff holds a plethora of certifications as an EEO counsellor, Civil, Employment and Family, Divorce and Child Custody Mediator, completed Dale Carnegie training program and a Myers Briggs Type Indicator certification practitioner program.
Jeff has a passion for helping other people. Jeff serves in his community, for example, he supports youth, school through the region, veterans, active duty, and reserve soldiers in the area by holding concerts and welcome back events, annual Veteran’s Day awards program.

At You Cannot Be What You Cannot See (YCBWYCS), we believe that exposure creates opportunity, opportunity creates hope, and hope creates transformation. Our mission is to connect youth, adults, veterans, families, and communities with the knowledge, experiences, mentors, and resources necessary to reach their fullest potential.
Through volunteerism, leadership development, education, mentorship, media outreach, and community engagement, YCBWYCS is creating pathways for individuals to see what is possible and become what they never thought they could achieve.
Our Community Impact
YCBWYCS provides meaningful volunteer opportunities for veterans, non-veterans, students, educators, business professionals, and community members who desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Each year, we recognize outstanding service and leadership through our Veterans Volunteer Recognition Program, having presented more than 30 awards honoring individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to serving veterans and their communities.
Supporting Those Most in Need
Our organization actively supports vulnerable populations through partnerships and direct service initiatives that include:
- Assisting homeless shelters and transitional housing programs
- Providing meals and support services for homeless individuals and families
- Supporting veterans facing hardship and life challenges
- Connecting community members with resources that improve stability, wellness, and self-sufficiency
Youth Development and Education
YCBWYCS is committed to preparing the next generation of leaders through mentoring, motivational speaking, leadership training, and career exposure opportunities.
We have provided services and support to organizations and institutions including:

YCBWYCS utilizes television, social media, audio production, and digital communication to educate, inspire, and connect communities.
Through community partnerships and media outreach:
- We support programming with Hardin County Educational and Community Television
- Produce educational and community-focused content
- Highlight positive community stories
- Promote leadership, volunteerism, and civic engagement
- Provide opportunities for youth and adults to develop media and broadcasting skills
Founder and community leader Jeff Kennedy serves as a television host, motivational speaker, mentor, educator, and sports broadcaster, using media platforms to inspire positive change and encourage community involvement.
International Impact
The vision of YCBWYCS extends beyond local communities.
We currently support and mentor individuals and organizations internationally, including:
- Youth leadership and discipline initiatives in Ghana
- Community and youth development efforts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
- Educational and faith-based online training opportunities in Pakistan
These efforts help build leadership capacity, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for growth across cultural and geographic boundaries.
